What do different status for my job application in my eLitmus profile mean?

The following are the status which can show for a job application in your eLitmus dashboard:

  • Applied
  • Not Shortlisted
  • Called For Interview
  • Confirmed
  • Interview Decline (1/2)
  • No Show (1/2)
  • Offered
  • Not Selected
  • Joined

Explanation of each Status is below for your reference

  • When you apply for a job with any company, your status becomes “Applied”
  • If a company has reviewed your profile and is sure it will never call you for the selection process, the status will become “Not Shortlisted”
  • If a company has reviewed your profile and does not find it useful for immediate requirement, then the status will continue to be “Applied”
  • If a company finds your profile suitable for immediate requirement, they will call you for the selection process, and your status will become “Called for Interview”
  • When you accept an invitation to attend the selection process of a company (you can do this only if your status is “Called for Interview” and last time to accept/ decline the invitation is not over), your status will become “Confirmed”
  • When you decline an invitation to attend the selection process of a company (you can do this only if your status is “Called for Interview” and last time to accept/ decline the invitation is not over), you will have to specify a reason for the decline. In case the company has only one location for its event then your status would show as “Interview Decline(1/2)” based on the number of times you have declined the job interview.
  • In case the company has multiple locations for conducting the selection process and your reason for rejection is “Location Not Suitable” then you would have the option to choose an alternate location and your status would show as “Applied”.Please note that using the “Location Not Suitable” option provides you with an option of entering the selection process of the same company at a different location and multiple declines based on “Location Not Suitable” will be dealt with severly.
  • In case of multiple selection process locations if your reason for rejection is anything other than “Location Not Suitable”, then your status would be showing as “Interview Decline(1/2)” only.
  • If you accept an invitation to attend the selection process of a company and you do not turn up for the same, then your status will become “No Show (1/2)”, based on the number of times you have failed to turn up for an event post confirmation.
  • Once you attend the selection procedure and get selected by the company, then your status will show as “Offered”.
  • If you attend the selection procedure and are not selected by the company, then your status will show as “Not Selected”.
  • Once the company notifies eLitmus that the offered candidate has joined, and has commenced work there, then the status will show as “Joined”.
