Why status of my job application is still applied even after the event date is over

For example DataMetica Solutions Private Limited event date was 7th December.
But my job status is still applied.
If I was not shortlisted least elitmus can do is change the status acçordingly

If the date was over and it still shows Applied, it means the company may call you for their next drive. They have not “rejected” you right away.

Believe me, “Applied” is much better than getting “Not Shortlisted”.
