You will be debarred from availing certain offers or services of eLitmus (example ability to apply to jobs) for a certain period of time. This period of time is often referred to as moratorium period.
Additionally post being flagged as malpractice case, the score will neither be shared with companies nor be used for shortlisting.
eLitmus uses a variety of approaches to identify the malpractice cases which include
-
Review of audio and camera feeds
-
Navigation/ click through behaviour during the test including time to answer a question
-
Rough work submitted post test
The above approach is very accurate in 99% of the cases. In the unlikely event of you being the odd 1% which has been misclassified, you have the following option
-
Attempt an in person test nearest to you
-
You may check the list of upcoming tests at www.elitmus.com/tests
-
The in person test is held at regular intervals in Bangalore and NCR. Additionally there may be other one off centers too
If your score for this in person test is within error margin of 2.5% the test score flagged for malpractice, you shall be reimbursed the following
-
Third AC to and fro fare + ₹500 between your place of stay to the nearest test center subject to a maximum of ₹4,000 . If you select a test venue other than Bangalore or Delhi then the distance to the venue has to be lesser than either of the two cities.
-
If your score flagged for malpractice is against a test which you took physically than the place of commencing journey shall be taken as that location OR your actual location which ever is nearer
Please note the above reimbursement is subject to following
-
You do not have any alternate valid score (A valid score is one which has not been flagged for malpractice)
-
The scores error margin with apply in each of the sections
However eLitmus may not provide reimbursement but a hard evidence of a test taker engaging in malpractice.
