Hi i have been offered a role of technical support consultant in one of the big MNCs for a salary of 4.6 LPA. I also have a software development role in another MNC but the salary is quite less. I want to know that is technical support job is a good field? And why technical consultants are being paid more than a fresher software engineer?

As per i know there is little or no growth in the technical support and you will end up with doing only one kind of thing everyday. So take the software engineer job. Best of luck
